Wonder how many riders are using these tires. And what do you think? Looking for something that lasts longer than stock 208's but has good performance all around. Thank You! in advance. |

I have the Pilot Powers, and I like them so far, only 9-8 hundred miles. They turn in much better. As to how long they will last, time will tell. |

I had a set on my 12R. Ran them from last fall until a couple of weeks ago through all of the Kansas cold weather. I had the rear worn out at 3300 miles. I replaced them with Pilot Roads. I can't tell a different between the two models and that's with 600 miles on the Roads. |

I have heard they grip very well but tend to break loose all at once. Diablo Corsas tend to be more predictable. xbolt12 |

Run stock (180x55x17 and 120x70x17). Buells don't need a 190 and even the bikes that do suffer some on turn-in from what I gather. |

I've considered putting a 170 on mine. I've found that the front starts to slide first with my riding style anyway... |

I have been running 170s on my bike because I am used to a more round tire...tip in is better and more smooth. There is something about a flatter tire that I just don't like in that it seems to "resist" leaning over at some angles. Guess it stems from all my dirt bike riding and being used to older tires where a 130 was consider a large size... Oh yeah...I have been running the Pilot Roads and love them...so far I have gotten about 9500 miles out of a rear and should get at least 12,000 out of the front. My other bike had Powers on it and I got about 5000 out of the rear. (Message edited by lovematt on April 09, 2005) |

The local shop I buy my tires from talked me into trying a set of Michelin Pilots on my XB. I hate them. The first front tire I got was bad and made my front end wobble. My rear is worn out in less than 4000 miles. The front tire looks new. The compound seems too hard for me. I keep sliding in turns. I do use my tires to the edges and the air pressure is correct. I'm going back to Bridgestone Battlax 010's they are the best I've had yet. |

I have been using the Michelin Pilot Powers on my XB9S for the past 2k miles. They are much better than expected. I have not experienced anything other than excellent traction with no front end wobble as mentioned above. I think everyone has their own opinion on what works best for them. I would highly recommend them. |

I am hoping what I hear from a few racers is baloney. The Pilot Powers are significantly cheaper here than Pirelli Diablo Corsas, so I wouldn't mind changing, but I am going to avoid being the test pilot. xbolt12 |

just thought that I would post this as far as cost of tires goes .... an ad in May's issue of motorcyclist magazine has a company, Tire Express (http://www.tireexpress.com) they are selling the Michelin Pilot Roads F&R for 199.99 AND they also have the Conti Road Attacks F&R for 189.99 Shipping is 10 per tire ..... |

I have Michelin Pilot Roads... They have lasted twice as long as the OEM Dunlops... I was getting almost 3K Mi on the OEM rear... I've already passed 5K Mi and Judging by the tread depth I should easily see 6K.... Here is what Michelin says will fit the XBs: XB Tires |

i have the the pilot sports, 3k so far out of the rear, should get about 4k. Grip is awesome. I ride 2Up frequently with my 110 lbs wife and i am fairly aggressive. I will probably switch to Metzler but only because of huge price diff. Also more than likely this bike is going to become my wifes and she will be far from aggressive. |
