You've got some other problems, it ain't the pipe. Need to see the air fuel values for both bikes. |

He is not compairing apples to apples. One bike is running the stock ecm and the other has the race. One also has moded airbox. |

Having worked in a motorcycle emissions laboratory for a major OEM you can only have one variable during a back to back test if you are going to have any relevant, comparitive results. Additionally, you need to have a minimum of three dyno runs in each configuration to eliminate things like driver error, etc. Our race team (same OEM) does not rely on only one dyno run to confirm or deny a good set up. |

Yes, each bike had 3 dyno runs and this was the best of the 3 runs. The A/F ratio showed good on the runs, My tech didnt print the a/f lines (dont know why) My bike is with the D&D and I know the a/f is working fine, I mean I work at a dealership with a dyno and we always running the bikes on the dyno just to do it. |

I'd still like to see the av values for the bike with the Drummer. That bike needs help somethings not right. Let's find out what it is and fix it. I'm willing to do anything I can to help and you know Kevin is. It could be a bad ecm or the tps is not set right. Check the timing. Look at the dyno's on www.kdfab.com and you can see what I'm talking about. |

Probably not resetting the afv everytime you take a muffler off and put another on, because the fi has learned the first one and the values are lower than 100 percent...Bubba showed me that on our 60 plus runs.... www.kdfab |

sorry to have to say this lucas, but your charts are very nearly meaningless. your numbers have no point of reference. you used two different bikes, and set them up differently, and also failed to establish the stock configuration for a baseline. your supposed comparison is defective. |

when we get a chance, I will put mikes drummer on my bike and see what the numbers look like. We seem to think its his race ECM. We not sure though. Kevin by all means we not trying to make the drummer look bad(mike loves his pipe) just trying to figure out why its not right. |

Take it out and ride some after you change pipes. Give it time to relearn before you make a dyno run. It took a total of three different rides before my bike settled in. I think shutting it down in between runs makes a big difference. |

With the loud drummer we rode almost 1k miles from Louisiana to Alabama and back then dynoed it. With the quiet drummer we dynoed about 150 miles or so. Had to adjust TPS cause bike wouldnt idle right Same tech doing dyno runs and TPS sensor(buell certified) DO YOU THINK SOMETHING COULD BE WRONG WITH RACE ECM |

Hmm... I wonder on the ecm`s to take it for a ride as you say is it just not for the ecm to reread the new A/F ratio, or are there also among other items it has to relearn??? If not then Wd. not just reseting the a/f or rezeroing the A/f ratio IF you have the unit to do so be the same as taking it for a ride or perhaps even better than doing so?? |

I think to put Mike's mind @ ease. Putting the Drummer on your bike is the thing to do first. And yes I think it's a fuel problem. Could be a bad ecm, or you just need more or less fuel. But I'm no expert!!!!! My reason for saying this is my bike 12 ran lean with the race ecm. Put the tfi on and gained 6.5 hp @ 4000. I luv all you Buell guy's and would like to see problem fixed. |

we will try it when we get a chance, working at a dealership is not always easy to change things out. We trying to get in touch with the guy Mike purchased his bike from to get the stock ECM to and try on Mike's bike. |

Hey BAds1, Hows it going... I see you like the D&D as well ..Yeah they are nice and LOUD, good power too, I just got one of them older force units off ebay as well as a few other guys here, Going to throw that on maybe just on the stock header (12) pipe for now and try to tweak that first, You should give one of them a try I`m sure you wd. like the SOUND of them maybe even better than the D&D LOL |

The Force pipe has always been a awesome pipe.Just always had a reliability issue with them.Yeah I wanted sound but I also want power. The D&D does both. |

YEah I know what ya mean But the force is now CHEAP on ebay and one just has to weld the sucker up no big deal and I`m sure it will perform as or almost as good with the tfi etc.Sounds like a Top Fueler going down the track ... If Not I`ll hang it on the wall...( another conversation piece ) :-) |

Hey BadS1 Lucas who posted the charts. Did so to get some help for his buddy Mike. Mike likes his drummer and is just trying to find out what the problem is. looks like they are going to switch muff first Mike bike would be sick with any pipe |

Right. No good comparing two mufflers on two different bikes with two different configurations of ECM and two different configurations of airbox. My guess though is that if you ran the Drummer on the bike with the race ECM and modded airbox the whole torque curve would jump up a bit and give the same relationship we have always seen. Drummer wins down low and up high. D&D wins mid-range. Two entirely different pipes giving two entirely different results. Choose your preferred flavor. |

Drummer wins down low and up high. D&D wins mid-range. Why does this keep coming back? We are talking about an xb9 here. Back to back dyno's I've seen (meaning same bike, same dyno) the midrange is identical. Drummer wins high and low, pun intended. I've posted a sheet before that shows that. If there are other sheets around that show otherwise I would love to see them though. All I know is what I've seen on dyno sheets so far, but maybe I've missed something, so correct me if you believe I am wrong. I do agree with you that for the xb12 the D&D rules in the midrange, but not on an xb9. |
