We'll, do to the fact I no longer have a passenger (the wife got her own bike!) I took off the foot pegs. Then I got to thinking when I trailer the bike, how am I going to hold down the rear of the bike? I prefer to strap down the front and back. So I ground down the ears that the pegs went into and mounted sliders on them. I like the looks better without the sets on, but now I have a tie down point, and a little more protection for the frame. Just in case.    | ||

Looks great Rocco! As far as tiedown, I bought eyebolts 5/16ths thread and use the bolt hole that the pegs were attached. Tiedowns just hook in, very secure. Still think we need something thru the axle, I still have the scars on mine.... | ||

 Look at the eyelet where the peg is suppose to be Rocco.That you just turn out when not in use. | ||

hey did you put an allen bolt in the hole that holds down the battery tray? if so all i did was put a bold in from the inside under the seat to hold it down...just have to find a bolt that does not stick out the bottom, i found one that was close and put a washer on it and now it is perfect | ||

Think One Could Rig up Some extended Sliders That Bolt where the passenger peg brackets bolt.? If they were long enough they may help protect the frame? Anyone thought of this yet? ben | ||

If you hold a piece of plywood or cardboard against the XB you will find the peg mounts do stand out but the bike will want to touch somewhere else. I think the peg idea will cause some other component to "wear" worse. Try it and see. When I went down on track, pegs were off and it ground left footpeg,shifter,left handlebar, tailsection, oil cooler scoop, and the swingarm at the axle bolt. I like the idea of the plastic thru the axle and some type of frame saver and handle bar ends. NEXT...... | ||

Neat idea Rocco...dont know how well it will work in the real world though. I think those passenger peg brackets would just bend but if they sacrifice themselves & save the rest of the bike then I guess they have done their job. | ||

The sliders are your everyday run of the mill bar end sliders. Just cut down to fit better. Cheese grater was cut off, got a license plate bracket through Dark Horse Moto. The turn signals are LED's which are integrated into the top corners of the carbon fiber license plate bracket. Coolice I know what you're looking at, but I think it would help out somewhat. Plus, no one else has them. The color of the tail section turned out darker than I wanted. It was supposed to match the rims. It did.. the first time I painted it. But there were some sanding marks that came through. Took it down to bare metal, painted it again and was just too dark. But I do have that color in my helmet, so I left it. It's iodized orange and yellow. Think I used too much orange the 2nd time around. | ||
