i decided to take the bike out yesterday for a short ride. it turned out to be so short i didnt make it 2 blocks from my house. I dont know how, but i went down. the bike slid on the bars and the passenger pegs. had i not had them on, i probably would have done much more damage to my leg instead of only my knee.. fyi |

Hope everything is alright. My pegs saved me. A few light scratches on the pegs is a lot easier to deal with. |

That's the only reason I have the rear pegs and mounts on - they act as a slider. (Message edited by dcmortalcoil on March 17, 2005) |

Mookie glad your okay. I was gonna remove mine for March Badness, guess I'll leave them alone, never occured to me that they might act as a slider. Thanks for posting.Hope you can still ride?! |

Glad you are alright. After I laid mine down, I saw that the passenger pegs saved me a lot of heartache. That is the ONLY reason they're still on. |

Sorry to hear about your accident but glad you and bike are OK. My rear pegs are perfect for connecting the bungees on my Cortech Tail Bag. Just another reason to keep em on, eh. Steve-O |

Never thought about that, think I will add the extra pounds back on, just in case. |

When my bike got hit by a Jeep last summer, the pegs saved a lot of extra repair work. One broken rear peg was much easier to fix than the tailsection would have been. |
