Friends, I appreciate all the help while I am finding a bike. Do you know what is the difference bet the XB9SL(low) and the normal XB9S 2003? How many inches of ground? or is the sitting/riding stance different? Thanks |

If you go to www.buell.com and look up the specs on the Lightning XB12S/XB12CG you should get some idea of the differences. Riding position will be a little different as the seat is shaped different on the SL. |

I didn't. I'm new to buell and it was the only one they had on the floor. I didn't even know until it read the owner's manual and checked my vin. But I love my bike and all my shorter friends do too. I'm also 6' and 200 lbs and the sl is just fine for me.

I have an 03' 9sL. The suspension is lowered about an inch and a quarter, and the seat gives about another 3/4" drop. This allows me to touch the ground with both feet. I like a soft suspension setup(due to the road conditions) and due to the "lower shocks", there is less suspension travel. I have bottomed the shocks only a couple of times, on hard bumps. You will have to pry this bike from my cold dead hands. . . . . . . Good Luck!! |
