Very nice. I like it. Rigga- I am guessing that is a swingarm made especially for a chain conversion kit. I could be wrong though. |

Lpd, I've heard the same thing. The swingarm loses some of it's stiffness when the belt is removed. Or so I've been told. |

Jan- What type of header is on your bike? I am guessing you had to cut that oval shaped hole in your body kit for it. |

"whats the swing arm infill piece on the r/h side?" Hal's sells a kit that looks just like that. The new ones won't have the extra piece welded in on the right side, but you now have a choice to go another inch longer. |

There's an interesting story that goes with that swingarm. Apparently Erik was rather ticked that they had welded that gusset in there, as it's not needed. And there was, shall we say, some discussion about it's strength and ridgidity. I beleive there's some of it posted here on BadWeb. I haven't looked lately, but I think you'll find that there are no gussets on the current race bikes. I could be wrong. It's happened a time or two |

The gusset was not on Hals bike last season. |

I can't tell because of the paint, looks good, but if you removed the black plastic pieces around the headlights be aware that the headlights magnify the sun and may damage your bodywork/paint. |

Actually, it was stated that the gusset would not be needed IF the swingarm went through the same heat treat process it had in the beginning. Welding on a part like that can have adverse effects. |

Welding on a part like that can have adverse effects. absolutley it takes enormous amounts of heat to weld aluminum adding the gusset only adds more |

The swingarm only loses its rigidity if you cut and weld extension for the chain adjustment witch is what he did, the factory piece uses the axle to mantain its strenght. |
