Looking for brotherhood of lone wolf to join in rides. I am in Columbia, South Carolina. I've seen one XB9S in Lexington and one CityX in Spring Valley. Anyone interested in meeting and riding some lake roads, I would enjoy the company. I'm no bracket racer, but I'm no squid either. Not looking for hell-raising, bar-hopping hooliganism, just some folks who enjoy a great bike on a great road on a nice sunny day. |

Sleeper, do a search at BadWeb for "South Carolina"; this same question has been asked several times in the past few months and that'll be the easiest way to find out who the SC Buellers are. There are quite a few Buell riders spread around the state. I ride an S3, but I've seen at least a couple of XB's around Charleston. |

Sleeper, I too am here in Lexington, so you can now count 2 Buells here in Lexington. I have an R1 and XB9R. I do a 200 mile ride virtually every Saturday on some nice sweapers on the way out, or should say up to Chester via a lot of back rodes, and some twisties that bring me back home back. It is no Deals Gap but some pretty fun roads. Usually leave around 10pm and get back about 3pm Also do a run around Lake Murray on some back roads on Sunday after Church. It is about 100 miles. Usually leave about 3pm and get back about 5pm. You sure are welcome to come along anytime you are over here in Lexington |

Truk, Have you done any modifications to the bike? I purchased a XB9S demo model with the race kit already installed. I changed the airbox and was considering the techlusion after warranty expiration. Speaking of running around lakes, I ride Lake Wateree frequently. |

I recently purchased my 03 XB9r used from a man here in Lexington. It had only 1900 miles on it. No engine modifications, which is what I wanted. As mentioned I already have an R1, and it goes like stink. So raw power really wasn't on my mind when I got the bike. It did come with Heli bars, Buell touring seat, lower pegs, mirror extenders, and CRG levers. All the comfort elements that I wanted already on the bike already, plus good wind protection. At the time I was really looking for a used XB9S, as I am planning to use the Buell as more of my daily street ride. But when I came across the XB9r with these modifications, and a good deal, I took it. I have ridden Lake Wateree as well. It has been a while. I found to many hidden drive ways for my liking, especially when the roads got good. My Saturday ride is when I do some serious back road riding versus my Sunday ride which is more of a cruising thing. The route I take on Saturday seem to me to have much less public traffic, and a couple sections were tighter that I remember Wateree. If someday, you would like to try the roads I ride on Saturday, let me know |
