Ok, tell me about this famous drummer I keep reading about. I have a xb9sx brand new and I am looking for a little thunder to go with the lighting. I a bone stock of course because I've only had my buell for one week. I also have only 100 miles on it and I am concerned about doing anything before the break in period. Hit me with your thoughts. I am in the same boat, and I'd like to add a few questions. Can I just add the Drummer? Do I need the race ECM? TPS Reset? etc? I would wait for the break-in period to end personally. No evidence to back this up, it just seems like the right thing to do. |

Whats up Rocketman I just put a Drummer on my XB12R, it made a big difference in power. And when I installed the race ecm, it made another jump in HP. The Drummer is Dyno tested and proven to out perform anything on the market for the XB series Buell. You can check it out @ www.kdfab.com |

I have the K&N airfilter, the XB12 Airbox, and I removed the snorkel. I have a stock ECM and have been running the Drummer for about a year. I can't say enough about it. It is amazing. The sound is EXACTLY what I was looking for. There was an increase in power even without the ECM. I would tell anyone thinking about it to go for it! |

Kevin told me you can run the Drummer with the stock ecm and a K&N air filter and is was not necessary to reset the tps. I did for a few days it ran great. But I wanted to get all the Hp I could so I installed the race ecm and had the tps reset. My next step is the tfi unit. |

I have a 2003 XB9R and just installed the Drummer about 2 weeks ago. Also have the K&N filter and 12 Air Filter Cover. Before putting the Drummer on it I thought the bike ran pretty good except there was a bit of a hole from 2500 - 4000 RPM. Installed the Drummer and that hole is completely gone. I am serious...it really made that much of a difference. I have had several people who know exhausts give it a ride and a listen (as they did before installing the Drummer) and said this is a top-notch exhaust. As to your questions: Yes you can add just the Drummer. To go with that I highly recommend the K&N Filter, 12 Air Filter Cover, and remove the snorkel (not the one inside the air filter....that is the velocity stack...keep that one in there. The snorkel is the one in the frame on the left side as you are sitting on the bike under the airbox/air filter cover). I have the Stock ECM in there and the bike SEEMS okay. All I know is that the air flow has increased dramatically and my mileage went from about 45 to 50 MPG telling me it may be running lean. I got the Race ECM and plan to install it soon before the air warms up here in California just to make sure. If you do install the Race ECM...you will need to get the TPS Reset. This reset is for an ECM that has not been in your bike before...this should be done at the first install as well as the recommended mileage intervals to keep the computer in sync with the actual throttle position. I highly recommend the Drummer. It has a really nice sound (louder than stock without being offensive) and the performance improvements were amazing. Seriously you will not be disappointed and it is well worth the money. (Message edited by lovematt on March 01, 2005) (Message edited by lovematt on March 01, 2005) |

You can tell kevin how loud you want it to be. And he will set your pipe up that way. I asked for it to be really loud, and it is!!!! As you can tell I'm really having a blast! With this bike. I've had GSXRs,ZX7RR GS400 and my last bike was a 2002 Zx9R. The xb is hands downs the best bike I have every owned. Oh im starting to a little wet eyed here, see ya |

I've had mine on my 12 since last April. I love the sound in particular and have experienced an increase in performance..I have also de-snorkled, installed Race ECM and KN filter. I would agree that this is the most enjoyable motorcycle I've ever owned. The pipe played a major part in the grin factor. |

Ditto on all of the above. That hillbilly from NASCAR country knows his shite. I'm kind of prejudiced because I work with him most every day, but he really does know what he's doing as well as being one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. |

Hey there Kevin, I spoke with you today. I went back to your website and it appears you accept payment by Pay-Pal. Is this true? If so that makes it an easy transaction for me. If Pay-Pal is a no go then I will go the check route. Thanks, E. J. |

sound and performance are well documented, another MAJOR factor to consider is that the Drummer IS the stock can ( externally ) and "FITS", .... no flimsy brackets,... after-thought hangers, or extremely thin material to worry about. I have had one on my 12 for about 3500 miles ( have 6300 total ), Great pipe. |

Yeh you can use the paypal but the paypal fee is $14 dollars so that would make it $414...take your pick.... Kevin www.kdfab.com |
