I know we don't have a full crew here to share this with but today I tried out a brand new Scorpion EXO1000. The following is my opinion only: Pros... Fit: good to excellent Pump up the volume: works as advertised and the release button is right next to the pumper which is in front of your chin. After I pumped the helmet up, which was beginning to get rather tight on my melon, I then pushed the small release valve and it instantly deflates while you hear a distinct "whoosh" of air being released. Works like a charm. Cons... The pull down sun screen is totally worthless. Very distorted! I didn't even try looking through it with the regular shield down. Didn't even bother. That's how bad it was to me. It was also very hard to grab the (very) little tabs to pull it down. I can't imagine trying to do that with gloves on. Also very heavy as compared to my Arai. Just my .02ยข worth. |

I only tried it on for ~2 minutes, but I didn't notice the distortion in the inner shield. I did notice that it stopped too high and the line for the bottom would be right in my sight for looking at the gauges, so I'd have to move my head to read them. Was surprised how much Sun the inner shield did block, especially for only being "light" smoke. Thought the locks and latches were alright... once you got used to them. I'll go for a ride with one next week, see if it's loud or what have you. |
