I was doing a coolant change and decided to try and remove the radiators to empty them completely. when I tried to undo them from the cowling the nut moulded into the plastic was turning. Has this happened to anyone else and what is a tip to stop it from turning when unscrewing the bolt, Cheers |

I have seen this, Zac said IIRC that he had pressed a soldering iron ( hot) into the nut and that helped. YMMV I would try a cement There are a lot of delicate parts on the '25 that you need to be cautious about tightening or alignment.. |

Pro shoe or formica counter top contact cement. Dab a little bit on nut and receiving hole, let dry and a second coat, let dry, then press in and as Olddog said be careful not to over tighten. You cab also use 3M 5200 that cures with humidity but keep it off the threads. It needs 24 hours to solidify and a few days to cure but you will never pry it out. Good luck. Oldog.... I am in Wilmington and ready to ride wherever. |
