Has anyone tried using the Dot 5 brake fluid instead Dot 4 . There has been some other Buell owners on other sites that have dun this. Is the switch worth it, or will there be more problems down the line. |

Do not change between dot 4 and dot 5. There two brake fluids are not interchangeable. Mixing the two types will cause your brake seals to fail and your caliper to lock up. Dot 4 is a better fluid for performance applications. |

651Lance thanks after more research I am going to 5.1 brake fluid. Higher boiling point more restraint to moisture and can be used with Dot3 and Dot4 |

NO...DO NOT. Stick with glycol based fluid.. If you want to try 5.1, go for it, but NOT 5. Mike |

Motul 5.1 is awesome and use a big syringe and push it up |
