Hi all, As I've gotten older, my hips have started to complain about the stock sporty rider foot pegs on my '09 CR. So I finally bit the bullet and replaced them with Uly pegs. St. Paul Harley has them in stock, $58 delivered, PN: N0006.1AD. I had to file a couple spots on each peg for them to fit. I thought I'd spare all you other mature fellas from having to crawl around on your garage floors to measure, file, measure and file to obtain the correct fit. Here are some pictures of the filings that yield a perfect fit. I also replaced the long Uly peg feelers with the stock short ones for more ground clearance which will be more important with the lowered pegs.

This is awesome info. Thank you. I just ordered a set, and they should be waiting at home for me today. Now I know what I’ll be doing tonight. |

I can empathize with Pwillikers and the discomfort of riding long distance in the traditional 1125R position. Usually dismount results in a groan and stretch. As I am now 67, the groan seems louder and the stretch goes on longer, I don't for the life of me know why. My solution was a set of Knight Design foot pegs developed specifically for the 1125R & CR. It provides a 2" drop and doesn't require any adjustment other than standard placement of the peg on the stem and adjustment for boot length. They can be found on www.knightdesignllc.com if anyone is interested. |

Not trying to be a stickler, but those arent uly pegs, they are lightning pegs (which drop an inch lower than firebolt/1125 pegs). Uly pegs are wider/grippier and don't require the filing to fit. Uly pegs also have the integrated (non-replaceable) curb feeler. (Message edited by cupcake_mike on March 26, 2021) (Message edited by cupcake_mike on March 26, 2021) |

Knight Design pegs are great. I a put 2" drop set on my '09 R a few years ago. Found I needed to be aware of where my toes were. Nearly scrapped toes when hauled over in turns. Ride on |

Yes Mike you are correct. These aren't Uly pegs, they are indeed XB Lightning pegs. I stand corrected. The part number, N0006.1AD, is correct for the XB Lightning pegs pictured. Thanks for the correction. |
