Was 95 degees out the other day , noticed coolant temp was getting past 195 at stop light . Every time I look at cooking fans(after shut off & key turned back on & with koeo after drive) only right fan working. Haven’t tested anything yet but manual says rt fan turns on with coolant temp over 170, lt fan on with cylinder head temp over 170. What is the right fan using for temp reference |

They should both turn on and off at the same time, all circumstances. I'll say that that's the way my CR has always worked, no matter the outside (ambient) or engine temperature. Mike |

One thing I found out about these fans is there can be a dead spot in the commutator in which one only has to give the fan blade a nudge and it will instantly start to run. That was the case with one of my fans. What I tried was taping a small strip of paper to the outer grid that would act as a tell-tale which would flutter when the fan was running. |

I grounded out the fan wire at the ecu & it ran . Will have to check when it gets hot. Maybe just being a little paranoid but always thought it ran a little cooler. Thanks |
