Has any body put a aftermarket gear indicator on their buell and was it worth it. |

1125's come with them stock. I hate how it took 1/2 second to calculate RPM/speed (like the aftermarket ones do) and wouldn't work when you were slipping the clutch. I get why... I'm just saying a trans built with the sensors (the Brutalé) makes a big difference You won't need to know what gear you're in when you're cruising, and a 1/2 second matters otherwise. IMO. Jim has a 2008. I believe that was introduced in 2009 as my 2009 CR has it. Might be something you could get by swapping ICs. I'm sure someone else will be able to chime in. I've never tried. |

Yup 08 didn’t have them, but I think that a reflash to the 6.2 software, will add it in. Not sure about 12 years later but could be worth checking into if you like knowing the gear. There were some other benefits, battery drain was one iirc, to the update as well. |
