New to the forum, thanks for the add. I have a 09 1125R and have charging issues, again. I had everything replace about 4k miles ago, after some digging found that my stator was making contact with the rotor. Seems like the nut backed off a bit causing the failure. Gonna do everything myself this time and would like some suggestions of where to get parts. I went with Rick's for the stator, VR and EBR for the rotor last time. I know the Twin Cycle guys have some quality parts but, I'm looking for someone in the US to get the parts ASAP. Thanks in advance for any help. |

Your rotor should be fine if you didn’t bang in up to much. The nut should be replaced after each removal but a lot of people reuse them. Make sure you remove all oil from the threads on the crank and nut and put a couple drops of red thread locker. I think you can buy the stator right from Ricks. |

And make sure the rotor nut is torqued to 300 ft lbs which is the new spec. |

300 ft/lbs? Whoa. What was the old spec? |

Thanks for the info everyone, suppose I'll have to bite the bullet and put the money into it again. Hopefully this will be the last time. |
