Tried to call Iron Town H-D to see if they would service the 2008 1125R but ALL phone extensions & operator had no answer. Thought maybe Sturgis this past week had an effect. Finally called Wausau Mfg. next door (thank you Google Earth) to get info from a most cordial, helpful and conciliatory receptionist.... Iron Town is closed because of some problem after taking over from Hals. Any additional info? The bike will actually be quartered in Davenport Iowa not far from Quad City H-D but service there said they would not be interested in performing maintenance and that parts were slim to none. Bit of a run around? So if there are people in Berlin, WI and Davenport IA that have first hand knowledge of facts, I would be most interested. I could, but do not, perform the work myself. The 1125R is our sons (from me) to use, while we live in North Carolina. Naturally, we would like to see him live long and prosper without the bike throwing a fit at 60 mph. He rides well and also has a Royal Enfield Continental GT of which he takes good care. The 1125 is much more complex and in a very different class. The folks (Terry especially) at Hals took great pains with my Buell XBRR when up there at the Homecoming 25th. Dan was also a great guy, as well as some other mechanics. Any advice where the 1125R can get a good yearly go-over would be appreciated in that area of the country, be it a single operator or large shop. Thanks in advance, George |

Contact Chuck Aagaard at Aagaard Moto Foundry. He shouldn’t be that far from you and he is great with Buells. He on the Bad Web also. |

So if there are people in Berlin, WI and Davenport IA that have first hand knowledge of facts, I would be most interested. First off, it's New Berlin, Wisconsin where Hal's - and then Iron Town - was. Secondly, what all has transpired with Iron Town is like a train wreck. But if you want more details (even though I hope you're more concerned about bike service): http://www.gmtoday.com/news/local_stories/2019/030 52019-new-berlin-harley-franchise-faces-$6.3M-fede ral-lawsuit.asp https://www.bizjournals.com/milwaukee/news/2019/03 /26/new-berlin-harley-dealership-facing-lawsuit-ge ts.html https://fox6now.com/2019/07/16/iron-town-harley-da vidson-in-new-berlin-shuts-down-day-to-day-operati ons/ After becoming Iron Town H-D, Buell's were no longer supported by the dealership, although they still retained the Buell superstar Bud Curtis. I can recommend Aagaard Moto Foundry. Chaz took great care of me during this past HOMEcoming! |

Thanks Lance, Xbuell and 1313 for the insight. I did get a return call back from Tom who said that Terry Gallagan (sp?) was now at James Customs. I will attempt to call and just see how he is doing, beings that the last time I saw him was at the Daytona 200 with the RMR 1125R and Higbee riding, I digress to March of 2008. The 1125R RMR #8 was first on lap 65. Then it caught fire...DAMN. A call to Chaz at Aagaard next week should do it. Some old pics (humor me please) Terry and the B bike #8
The group Ness, Higbee, Rossmier & Bilansky
Lap 65 still in first, just before the 1125's fire..fubar

I called James Custom Power Sports today finding that Terry does work there. The 1125R will definitely be able to get his once over plus be stored for the winter, if our son wants to do so. A good end to the week. |
