I have two '08 R models, one with the original IC, the other has the IC I took off my '09 CR, which has software package 6.1 in it. Both bikes will lose the speed display at various points in a ride. It will usually come back after a full stop. I know Harleys were known for speed sensors getting loaded up with powdered metal and chips, and quitting entirely unless cleaned or replaced, but I'm not aware of a stop-start issue with them. Any thoughts? I have a new cluster to put on one, but haven't got around to it yet... (Message edited by Panshovevo on June 13, 2019) |

Thanks Ron, much appreciated. That gives me a few places to start looking. |

Speedo pickup may be dirty. Pull out, clean, reinstall. |
