Fixed the electric. Also the 1125cr in simple terms always makes max power and dumps the excess. So adding power accessories doesn't tax the system any more than not. |

Not aftermarket and not a CR, but an R so not sure you'll consider it applicable. I had the factory heated grips on mine. Mostly because they were plug and play and with the grip switch in the right hand pod - had the integrated look I wanted. May want to check with St. Paul or your local HD dealer for availability. If I remember correctly, they were stock on a ULY. Maybe a bone yard? I retrofitted another set to my Firebolt for the same reason. '04s don't have the accessory plug '05 and later came with so had to be a little creative. I can say that I rarely take them off the low setting. Now, on the 1190 I have Oxford sport grips. They have a control module to locate and a fat cable from there to the pod controller. And need to be glued on instead of screwed in place like the Buell units. They usually spend their time at setting 3 or 4 (of 4). Not complaining, just passing along experience. I have another set in the box waiting for install on a Suzuki this winter so obviously not unhappy with them. |

If the bars are hollow...and have a 5/8(.625) inside diameter...I have used "Polly Heaters" on my old Vstrom and a old Goldwing...originally designed for snow mobiles...they go inside the bar...pull about 1.5 amps for each grip (3amps total)...no worries about the wires fouling up the twist grip...Amazon sells them...hth |

'09 1125's have sufficient extra electrical power for heated grips. Part of the stator failure problem is due to this. The '08s have a smaller margin. |
