Hello to all! I picked up a 2009 1125R over the winter and have been steadily tinkering with it to get it tip top. The previous owner fixed the stator issue. So far I have de-noided it, re-mapped the ecm with a buelltooth dongle, replaced air filter and fluids, and repaired the clutch actuator weep with a seal kit (will replace with aftermarket when that goes). I'm having trouble getting the clutch where it should be. My question is with the clutch release pin inside the spherical nut. I have the spherical nut torqued to spec but I believe the hex head clutch pin in the middle has moved and I'm getting a little pull with the clutch lever pulled all the way. Can someone tell me where this pin should be? Do I bottom it out clockwise and back off a turn (or something along those lines)? I have room to turn either direction but before I start cranking, I'd like to know what direction to head towards and what I should be looking for. Thank you! | ||

Sounds like you got it right, but thread it IN to the bike to bottom it out lightly, and I back off 1/4-1/2 only. Not sure what the manual says (you can get it link above, Buelltooth.co, or Buellmods.com) But that works fo me. | ||

Thanks for the reply! Ok, so I bottomed out the spherical nut then backed it off a hair. This seems to have cleared up the clutch problem. After some searching on this site I found a thread where someone describes the clutch release pin as "floating" and that it does not thread into or onto anything on the other end. A quick glimpse at the replacement part listing pic seems to confirm this so I think we're good! I've included the pic if anyone else would like to confirm or just take a look.   |
