So Im putting it back together, about ready to ride my street 1125R for the first time in a few years (my plate expired in 12, but I think I rode for a few months longer, if Im honest). While putting the seat back on, and beginning to install the American Sport Bike seat quick-disconnect...which one side has boogered up threads, my bike, not the kit... I noticed a large amount of open space under the rider's seat. I wrapped up my factory toolkit in a shop rag and stuffed it in there (the rag to keep it snug). Is that a problem? I'd like to free up the space under the pillion seat, which is usually eaten up by the toolkit. Ideally, Id like to put an emergency plug kit in there with inflator. So, yeah, any issues to come out of this? |

I doubt you would hurt anything by putting something under the seat. I never thought there was much space, but ppl have been able to rollup a spare belt and stow it there. |

As I stated, the tool kit fits in there snug when wrapped in a large shop rag. Though, on second thought, I need to take it back out and put the kit in a thick ziplock bag just incase some water gets in there But I didnt know if there would be any adverse effects by having something in there. |

As long as your not covering the VR then it should be ok. |

What do the VRs on this bike look like? I know where they are on the tubers, and what they look like, but not as familiar with the 1125 |

IIRC, it's a square looking thing mounted vertically on the left side of the underseat area. |

Follow the three yellow wires, if they have turned brown you have a bad connection you need to check. The VR mounts to a plate which is welded to the sub frame as said on the left side. |

Use the snipping tool app in Win 10. Snip whatever you want to share on your screen in the appropriate size, save as .jpg then attach in the thread. |
