My 2009 1125CR just started to weep at 8K miles. I bought the Oberon Performance kit from Twin Motorcycles. My mechanic said that he followed the instructions to the letter but still can't get the cylinder to seat in the clutch cover. Any suggestions or tips that I can give him? Thanks |

about 4:00 minutes in ...it shows you how to seat the new cylinder...some brake fluid on the orings may help "lubricate" the oring seals...hth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCEetGIc9ks |

I ended up calling Oberon Performance and they gave me a good tip. They advised removing the o-rings but to be very careful identifying which o-ring went where as they are 1mm different in size. Place the cylinder into the cover and rotate it until it drops into position. Mark the cover so that you know exactly how things line up. Reinstall the o-rings (in the right spot) and then line up the cylinder and cover as previously marked. You now should have the confidence to apply the appropriate pressure to seat the cylinder. Their procedure worked perfectly! |
