Hello ma dudes, Can someone let me know the size/length for the fasteners required to mount the heat deflector for the exhaust? Material properties and fastener head type would be nice too, so I can keep it as close to OEM as possible. Thanks! |

Just to make a quick follow up with some pics of what I'm talking about. P/N is A06010.3CSS, but I'm not finding any details online, and I can't find any available.

The screws are M6-1.0 x 10, and they are stainless. |

I just noticed yesterday I lost one and the other was loose (installed an Ilmberger CF shield this year) I saw New Castle HD has them online and so do a couple vendors overseas (Twin M/C, etc.) But the shipping from these places is very high for a couple little bolts. I did find a 10-pack SS version on eBay for under $5 shipped and a black oxide coated version for a few cents cheaper. Those were 10 packs for under $5 shipped so I went that route. The PN is A06010.3CSS from Buell. List price is like $1.50 or so. Maybe a local Harley dealer could get them for list price. I just saw the black ones for $4.33 for 10, no driving and want to try the black out look. Hope this helps, I know this is an old post. |

Nuts4mc, Damn you and your McMaster Carr skillz. I believe it's you that sent me down that rabbit hole in a previous post. Now McMaster Carr is the monkey on my back, the dealer to my habit, the playground where I buy my fix... (I could go on :-) |

McMaster-Carr is THE hardware store for experienced machinists, engineers and racers...pricing at times can be hard to take, but they carry quality items and have warehouses through out the country...Amazon should "benchmark" themselves against the service McMaster-Carr provides....back in the day before the internet a McMaster-Carr catalog was a prized possession for any young engineer or machinist.
if you're into vintage junk like me...a Sudco catalog is the one to have and cherish as it has the all the jetting P/Ns you would ever need... |
