I've been meaning to buy an EBR 1190 Big Bore Kit for one of my 1125s for quite a while. I checked several times with EBR parts, and was assured that they had them in stock and I could order them online from the web site. Well, about a month and a half ago, I went through the online order process, did everything short of submitting the order. Let's just say unforeseen circumstances kept me from finishing the order at that time. Yesterday, I opened the web site, and none of the parts pages had anything on them. I called the parts department, and was told they could still take orders, but they now have to email an order form. They told me they still had a couple of the big bore kits in stock, and in response to my question about the clutch actuator kit, I was told that if they didn't have any kits, they could round up the individual parts. They emailed me a PDF order form. I don't know whether the problem was me, or the iPad, or the form, but even after I figured out how to fill it out and sign it, when I emailed it, none of my text made it to them...only my signature. I tried three more times...no go. Finally, Mike emailed back and told me to respond to his email with the information I wanted to put on the form, and he would fill it out. They called me today with a total including shipping, and I gave them payment information. My parts are shipping today. I should have asked if they intend to continue making these available, as I may want another kit. |

Seeing that the company closed up again and any parts left are being liquidated, I don't expect much coming from them and I'd order anything else you asap |

I wouldn't say the company is closed up. Granted, they're not building new bikes as far as I know, and parts of the web site are down, but there is a banner on the site saying warranty claims will continue to be honored. I think I will ask about future availability of the big bore kits, etc. |

Trying to figure out why the index shows Court posted last in this thread, but there's no sign of his post... Edited to say it used to say Court's was the last post. Now it doesn't. (Message edited by Panshovevo on June 30, 2017) |

In the lists emailed out for the auction there are two big bore kits listed, you can make an offer for them. |

Stimbrell, where would I find the lists and bidding details? I've been somewhat out of the loop for close to two months. Edited to add: Thanks Stimbrell, I put my thinking cap on and was able to find the info. (Message edited by Panshovevo on July 01, 2017) |

That will probably represent the end of them . . . if you want them, that'd be a good place to strike. |

I hope like all getout it's not the end... I couldn't help noticing some of the MSRP prices listed. 1190RS drivetrain...almost $25K. 17x6 designer black wheel...$53. I think there might be a few typos. |

Would anyone care to take a guess as to what the first item under 1125 parts is? It's identified as "1125 Package Parts Motors", and carries an MSRP of $2900. I wonder why EBR would have had 346 sets of 1125 connecting rods, with a retail value of $178K? I'm beginning to wonder if Melvins had some Buell stock left from when they liquidated Buell for Harley, or if someone else is contributing stock to this auction? Or if parts that are interchangeable between the engines are listed under 1125 parts? And more crazy prices...$1010. for a 27 tooth front pulley for an 1125... there are lots of them! |

Call your favorite Buell dealer and ask for a price on a front 1125 pulley, the EBR price isn't unreasonable. |

The pulley is listed on the main sheet for $766.30. And there are 93 available according to the list. The numbers on the lists just don't make any sense in a lot of cases. Take a look at the valve adjustment shims. There are two sizes listed close together, 400 in stock, MSRP is shown as 0.75. The extended price is $2700.00. Actually, I just looked back, and there are a bunch of sizes priced that way. |

I received some enlightenment from a reliable source on some of my questions. Erik Buell got a lot of 1125 parts from Harley , apparently as part of a separation package. This explains a significant amount of the inventory being liquidated. If you go to the LAP page with the remaining bikes on, there are a fair number of Buells. One is identified as a museum quality XB12 (R, IIRC). Because the header of the page indicates none of the remaining bikes have titles, or even MSOs, I would have to assume this one follows the rule, unless I heard otherwise. I took a look at EBay today, searched for EBR 1190. Several motors for sale, ranging from $2295 shipped, to $3695 plus shipping. All have been stripped of most accessories, some more so than others. Lots of parts available...some good prices, some not so good, but compared to MSRP, they're all good. According to LAP, the MSRP of an 1190 oil cooler is almost $2900. I don't know if that's accurate or not, but there are a couple on EBay for less than 10% of that number. Crazy... 1190 rear shocks...under $70... Anyone know if an 1190 will physically bolt in to an 1125 chassis? I know it would get complicated in a number of ways, and it might be cheaper in the long run to pick up a complete 1190 at the right time, but I can't help wondering. The 1190RS had hand made radiators, so they did cost significantly more than the mass production units on the RX and SX. LAP is selling the RS oil cooler for $2900 but the RX and SX ones are $500. The company that made the RX/SX radiators had excess inventory after EBR went into receivership, and AF1 Racing bought pallets of them for next to nothing, so that's how some of the cheap brand new sets on ebay got there. The 1190 motor will fit in the 1125 frame, as from what I've read is the mounting points are unchanged. The radiators can be swapped but also requires you to swap the exhaust. There are some really cheap 1190s out there that would be a better jumping off point than converting an 1125. |

Thanks Froggy. The RS/RX thing got me more than once. Where are you seeing cheap 1190s? |

I've seen a few pop up on here and facebook, the nice ones under $6k ones go fast, and there was a lightly wrecked bike that didn't look bad for under 5. I'll let you know the next one I see. |

Thanks. I googled EBR 1190 and came up with a bunch of 2014 models priced from $9999 for an SX to several RXs at $18,995. There is a low mileage used 2014RX a few hours from me priced at $7495 at a dealer. Still looking. Got the bug. If I could trade my '07 Superglide, and avoid spending a pocketful of cash, that would be ideal. However, for the right deal, I'd cough up the cash. |

I did a lot of emailing back and forth with EBR Tech last week. Learned a few things... The LAP inventory lists have showed some parts that haven't been in stock for over two years. |
