Hi there

We replaced the motor on my 2008 1125R this weekend with a new in the box 2009 motor, it was complete with its engine wiring harness. All went well the bike fired up, reset the TPS and set the AF also. We ran the motor until 200 degrees but the fans did not come on. Any ideas? the engine harness is a 2009 and the frame harness is a 2008, the ecu is a EBR race unit, the fans worked perfect on the 2008 motor

wasg...RnR the ECU...maybe contact(s) aren't connecting (it's a big connector), check relays, fan connections, battery connections, check grounds - with the key on (engine not running)does the lights and horn work?...hth

Find Rob Weaver on Facebook. He was just having an issue with fans in this same scenario.

As yes the fan circuitry is slighty different.

I think the fans are the same I have replaced two from the junk yard just ask for 1125 motor they both worked ok.
