Swapping the rear pads on my CR and bought EBC pads the don't have new clips and having a tough time getting the old clips out. Do new pads usually not come with new clips? Any advice on getting the old clips out?

All I can say is good luck getting them out with out them braking them, they seem to get very brittle. Braking brand brake pads come with new clips.
