Anyone know off hand if the 1125r-Barker with ECM will pass the Db rating of 103db at 50 ft round 6000rpm ? I am doing a trackday at NCM in Bowling Green Ky and was wondering? or if someone has run the 1125r at that track specifically what did you have to do?? really appreciate it |

It might pass it with the quiet core insert, but even that I have my doubts about, the Barker is very loud even at idle. |

Are you riding with MCRA or MTD? NCM is tough on the db ratings- they don't play around! Rightfully so I guess since the track noise debate is still raging around there. It's crazy how much the temperature affects the sound. We had some guys that were fine at warmer days at NCM, but when our event (MCRA) was there in October (pretty cold), they were meatballed. I'd at least start with fresh packing in the Barker. There were a few guys that repacked at the track and were good to go. (Message edited by bumpnzx3 on June 09, 2016) |

Yes, the MCRA event , they blackballed a friend on a zx10 there and I know my bike was louder than his, so a fresh repack with a 1 inch insert get me by Bmpnxz3 ? Ya think |

I'd hope so. I'll be bringing my stock pipe just in case. I'll just be coaching in the Novice group, so I won't be riding too hard anyway. Not sure where they will have the meter set up this time around, but last year it was just after pit-in where you're coming onto the front straight. A few guys were kinda cheating the system by taking it easy right there. I don't know how those meters work, but it seemed the larger displacement bikes would get in trouble long before the smaller bikes. The cross-plane R1's had problems as well as a few other liter bikes. My GSXR was near obnoxious but I was still 1db under during the race. The two-fiddies are loud as hell too, but none of them had a problem. It's almost as though the frequency has something to do with those meters as well - not just the db level alone. |

Hello, all. I just made this video tonight. I am a new Buell owner (bought my 1125cr a week ago). I installed the exhaust tonight after work. Anyway, I am only using a free sound meter app on my android, so I don't know how accurate it is. Additionally, I didn't actually rev the bike at 50 feet. Nevertheless, maybe it will help. https://youtu.be/P5KAL3K45kY |
