I am wanting to make sure that I can completely remove the Harley Davidson "Fix" for the stator overheating. It has been disconnected from the stator to the Voltage Regulator, but I believe it still has two small gauge wires connected to it. Can I simply disconnect those wires and remove the entire HD fix? (HD Fix being the bundle of wires and relay that HD put between the stator & the VR) I am wanting to also use the connectors to wire in my new VR. |

Thanks, but the video does not address whether or not I can completely remove it. There are 3 other connections (see yellow arrows in photo). What are those for and can they be disconnected

I may be wrong, I just did the connectors. I would assume that those two may mate also? |

Service Bulletin B-099 describes everything one needs to understand the "H-D Fix". Look for it in the Service Bulletins section of BadWeb. The 2 pin connector that goes to the ECM and was mated to the connector that went to the relay can be disconnected and stowed in the harness. The other 2 pin connectors that go to the Active Intake device can be mated after disconnecting from the Harley Fix harness. |
