Had a key switch failure a couple of weeks ago. The electrical part, not the mechanical lock. Am now using a hardware store toggle switch. Called up my HD/Buell dealer and have a replacement coming. It only comes as a set, mechanical lock and electric switch, $120. The two are held together by two Phillips head screws. Sheesh! I know American Sport Bike has some parts. I guess I could have haunted eBay till one came up. Or, as my mechanic suggested, mount the switch out of sight and leave it that way. Want to keep my bike right. So, am wondering where there are other resources for goodies. How long are we going to be able to keep these babies smoking don the road? |

I did rfid on mine. It eliminated the mechanical switch all together. |

I can get you the 1125r switch for $100 new from HD. If you change just your switch your switch lock and your other locks will not match. we cant order the locks to match the key you have now. |

Shawns - How did you install the RFID? I would be interested in seeing some type of write up on it. Thanks Jeremy |

I made mine with a RFID receiver and a latching relay. There are a few companies that make them like the Motogadget m-lock. Digital guard dog is another. http://www.digitalguarddawg.com/motorcycles/rfid-k eyless-ignition-security/dgd-kim-u/product. I do 12v for a living so it comes easy to me. If you decide to go that route I can help ya. |

Thanks guys. I took the electric switch off the new assembly and put it on the old key lock. Took me about a half hour start to finish. |
