Am in the process of removing the fuel pump. I have the rim and swingarm off. But cannot seem to get the snap ring off. I have a pretty good size pair of snap ring pliers but no dice. Anyone have any suggestions or tricks to get the ring off would be appreciated

Ok, I got th snap ring off. Now just need to figure out how to get the pump out without a puller and how to get the little spacer the belt slips thru out of the swing arm.

I used a slide hammer with a sort of a split J hook on the end, on a bolt seated in the center hole of the pump for removal. It doesn't take that much force to get it out once it's shocked loose.

The spacer should slide right out when the bolts are out.

You may have some corrosion formed on the bare metal surfaces, tightening the fit. If this is the case, use some penetrating oil (with the belt protected) on it, and gently tap it out with (ideally) an aluminum drift that is no harder than the material than being removed.
A piece of wood or hard plastic are other options.
If corrosion is the problem, clean it all off and treat the surface with something like Corrosion Block before putting it back together.

Thanks Panshovevo, I got the pump out. The kit I bought seems to be an universal style and seems slightly different. Has anyone used one of these before I want to have some confidence it will work reliably. I don't want to have to pull everything back apart again soon. If need be I would rather spend the money and get a factory replacement .http://www.ebay.com/itm/BUELL-1125-1125R-1125CR-R- CR-2008-2009-PETROL-12V-EFI-FUEL-PUMP-FITTING-KIT- /231756704258?hash=item35f5c6aa02:g:-RgAAOSwDNdVwh 65&vxp=mtr

I tried one of the Ebay kits and it did not produce the required pressure. Ended up buying a new one any way and had to have it overnight delivered to make a race. Cost a lot more in the long run.
