No need with 08 stator, only 09+, check that. 08 stator/rotor will fit in an 08+ cover, the 09 stator/rotor will only fit in an 09+ cover. Also, 08 stator/rotor and 09+ stator/rotor don't mix. FYI 09 R/R is same as 08, but... newer.
