Got the 1125R back from Mark at Twiggers Moto Guzzi of Loughborough today and it was a joy to be back in the saddle again. Mark has fabed up a crank locking tool and is happy to work on these though he did mention threading the stator wires was a pain in the arse. Spent £150 on uprated stator, £10 on gasket, £75 to get rotor drilled and Twiggers charged me £126 to carry out all the work. Really happy as I thought it would be a really expensive fix when I looked at kit price from TM of €771 plus labour. Instead of the £1000 I had expected, I ended up sorting it out for just £361. I have been asked about rotor drilling .... I had mine done by Paul at Demeanor Customs in the UK who used to do them amongst other things for Black Bear HD while they were supporting Buells.
