I have a 2008 1125r with a 2009 Cluster and 2010 Motor. I went to the dealer to order a new switch but found out there is a longer switch and a shorter one. My question is does it matter which one I get or sense they are different sizes will only one fit? Also dose anyone know what size torx bolt it takes to take off the switch? Thanks for the help Russell |

The short one is for an 1125R. The long one is for a CR. I will dig out the bolts for the torx size but be aware it takes a special one with a hole in it. |

The mounting is different between the R and CR ignitions, which is why they have different part numbers. The two bolts holding it in are security torx, size 45 if I recall correctly. American Sport Bike sells a tool for it, as do most hardware stores. |
