So, I traded my VTX last fall for a 2010 1125 cr, and i rode it fine til riding season was over. Start of this season i had stator falure and replaced it and the rotor before ebr went out of business. It looled like it has been laid down a couple times but rode strait and seems fine, so I've been happy so far. It also has a Jardine exhaust (carbon)

Now my concerns.
I'Ve had minor issues starting the bike. Sometimes it starts almost too quickly, but there are times when it ia really rough or doesnt start until i turn it off and back on again. Is that normal ? Or is it to be expected with having an aftermarket exhaust or what?

My other concern happend today, i was riding and the check engine light turned on. Sounded ok, and voltage was fine, and temp never got above 180. I turned around and headed home. Let it run and no smoke or hickups. Turned it off and checked error codes. Had the front o2 error because of the exhaust, but had another error code for low voltage which may have been from before i replaced my stator(not sure if i need to manually reset codes or not) Either way. I started bike up again and the check engine light wasnt on,but i didnt take it out. Any advice or ideas would be awesome, love the bike, but im starting to consider trading it in for a kawasaki or something Japanese.

1.) Battery, if original or if you don't keep it on a battery tender, should be load tested at a reputable battery manufacturer or store. These bikes are voltage finicky, that is, they need a good voltage and load capacity to operate your bike efficiently.

2.) Check engine light will let you know there is at least one DTC, diagnostic trouble code, to help you with troubleshooting any issues.
