I'm going to be swapping out my rotor sometime soon and I'm going to need something to hold on to the rear and/or front wheels. What do you guys think?

Pitbull makes great stands for the 1125... check them out!

I have several sets of PitBull stands, they freaking rock. They are well built, and are likely something you can hand on down to your grandkids for use on their hovercycles.

They are expensive but well worth the cost. T-Rex Racing makes a set that is cheaper but also does a good job.

American Sport Bike sells the PitBulls

T-Rex will scratch your swing arm.

So will the pitbull if you're not careful. Nothing a little sharpie can't hide, though.

If you throw old socks over the pads they do a pretty good job of protecting the swingarm from scratches

but Cf_z is right, black sharpie is pretty damn close to a perfect match

Pitbulls are bullet-proof but more expensive than the others (love mine). If you just need to support the bike, a pipe through the axle and a couple of jack-stands will work in a pinch. (makes wheel removal a challenge, though).

If you plan on rotating the engine some time then may as well invest in a Pitbull rear stand. They are worth their prices. Extremely robust.

I haven't had any issues with my T-Rex set scratching my swing arm. They make at least two models, I forget which version I purchased.

I have a version of the T-Rex for spools, and with it you need to be very cautious to not damage the swing-arm. I ended up welding up my own rear stand but do use the T-Rex front lift.

Lol, if you use the t-Rex front lift the rear lift must be used or tragedy will likely follow! I was changing my front street rim with my track rim and tires, without the rear stand. Luckily, I didn't get the front wheel off before the whole thing turned and I dang near lost my bike. To me the set up is unstable without the rear stand being used at the same time.

Front stands are never meant to be used without the rear.

I have 2 pitbulls (one front, one rear), and three pins for the front one.

I can rack up tubers, XBs, and my 1125 - all adjustable stands, interchangeable pins for the different trees. 2 stands, I can work on any Buell (or likely any bike, worst case I buy a $10 pin).

Worth their weight in gold : )

Well. I guess the pitbull wins it, it's also compatible with the EBR 1190 which is going to be my next bike. Thanks guys!

Just throwing it out there, I have the T-Rex stands front and rear and they've worked great. No scratches on my swingarm from the included spool catchers.

I'm a little confused.. so it sounds like the consensus is Pitbull is an A+ and the T-Rex is more like a B?

Also are these the kinds y'all are talking about?

As long as your stands stay out of the weather you do not need expensive ones.

This exact set I bought and they work great.

The 2008 did not have spools, so the Pitbull stand above is set to lift by the swing arm.

It works, great stand, but since I replaced my 08 with an 09, which does have spools, I'd rather have the spool model

I bought a cheapy Cycle Gear rear stand for working on other people's bikes, and it's NOT wide enough to work on the Buells, both in the spool mode and in the swingarm lift mode

I'd be worried about the EBay ones not being wide enough either
