So, since someone backed into my 1125 and knocked it over...and the insurance gods were good to me, a couple of upgrades are in order. I'm new to the 1125 (Had a uly for 8 years) but I see one of the most common complaints and upgrades is to the master cylinder and the highest marks seem to go to the Brembo 19 RCS... Which is what I thought I was getting as per the craigslist add....(at a steal)... But... it looks like I've got a 15 RCS. So... Thoughts on this? Go with the 15? Try to return to the guy and get my $$$ back or put it on fleabay and use the proceeds towards a 19 ? Thanks in advance for your wisdom! |

I'm only guessing.... I think the numeric could be the size of the Master Cylinder piston. The bigger it is the more fluid it will push. So "19" is possibly 19mm and "15" is 15mm. I also believe the stock size of the OEM MC is 14mm. Which we all know is totally inadequate to push an 8 piston ZTL2 caliper, which is part of the reason why lever travel is excessive. If all of the above is true, I would think the RCS 15 will provide only a small improvement over your OEM size MC. Have you looked at Shindy Brakes? They sell Nissin Radial MC in the size you need for something around $250. |

Thanks for the feedback RB. I've not looked at those. Though $250 was what I paid for this one. Looks like the best bet is to put this on fleabay and use the proceeds towards another brembo or the Nissin from Shindy. |

Was that Brembo used? The Shindy Nissins are brand new radial MC's according to their website. If I recall a new Brembo MC is closer to $400? By the way be careful of Chinese copies. They're out there. |

New in box. I suppose it could be a knock off but box and packaging look legit to me. It was a Craigs list deal and I offered 250 plus shipping I can only assume the seller didn't want to deal with flea Bay. Didn't seem like he was trying to pull a fast one |

As RodRob said you need the 19, the 15 will not push enough fluid. |

Anyone has the diameter for the pistons on the ZTL2? I just went from wire to hyd on my cafe racer using Brembo RCS and want to upgrade to RCS MC also for my ZTL2's. My first thought was that it has to be the 19RCS since the ZTL2 are huge… But are they? I got second thoughts when reading this tread about the user complaned of to abruptly feel and easy to lock up brakes using Brembo 19*20 MC (but not the RCS that have 18-20 ratio adjust) https://www.buellxb.com/forum/showthread.php?54399 -ZTL2-8-Piston-brake-caliper-Master-Silynder-Probl em Brembo M50 4 pot calipers are Ø 30mm and two calipers in a system makes total Ø:240mm where Brembo recommend the 17RCS. Brembo M4 4 pot calipers are Ø:34mm and two calipers in a system makes total Ø:272mm where Brembo recommend the 19RCS. So anyone with the ZTL2 dim? |

Found mine out of storage for measure. Mid 4 pistons are 30mm, outer 4 are 26mm. Making it total of 224mm. |
