Here in Michigan above the 45th Parallel winter is setting in. Only way to survive the doldrums of winter is start planning a road trip in Upper New York, Lake Placid or general area. So if any of you folks from that area have any suggestions, recommendations or must do rides in the area, share the ride my friends! A few friends and I make a annual event that we call "Fathers Day Ride" normally the week before or after that time and ride for a week so the weather cooperates...sort of. I searched on the web site "motorcycle roads us", a few posted but nothing as fun as Deals Gap or the Dragon, West Virginia riding. New Hampshire as I recall has some neat stuff with the White Mountain area, any suggestions??

I did an eight day ride through Maine, NH, VT, NY and PA this past summer albeit on my Street Glide and not my 1125R. Pics and details here - http://www.faceyman.com/p/rides.html Beautiful country!

Come to the finger lakes region of NY. I know its southern NY, but its very nice and lots of good roads. And, its wine country.

Amazing that so few opinions about New York state riding opportunities come out of the most opinionated Buell web site! Really, I thought all you New York riders are a proud bunch about the riding opportunities in your state!?!

You should have posted this in the quickboard for a better response, there is a broader audience there. : )

I can't name any specific road, but there is plenty of good riding upstate. The ADK Buell Rally is held up in the area, take a look at some of the old routes here for inspiration:
