Hi guys, I have a 08 1125r with a newly installed EBR ECM tuned to my Barkers exhaust. The bike now is very loud and I would like to install a 1" quiet core that I have. Would I have to to have the EBR ECM retuned to the Barkers with the quiet core or is it not necessary?. Your feedback is appreciated. |

Any kind of changes like that will throw the fuel mapping off. So yes, technically. That being said though the bike will more than likely run pretty decent without any other changes, but you won't get max performance or efficiency. |

I have the same setup. The EBR ECM uses the oxygen sensors and will adapt just fine. |

The quiet core has a very minimal effect on flow and power (might cost a couple hp). If you were a perfectionist, you could have the bike retuned to match the core but, to be honest, the original EBR ECM isn't custom tuned for your bike so it's not perfect to start with. It's probably pretty close, though. |
