As some of you know I am rebuilding my 1125r after a mating session with a tree, I regularly check my local harley dealer for any used bikes and low and behold, they had a crashed 1125r with the 1190 bore kit, full race exhaust, EBR triple tree plus clipons and the carbon 1125rr fairings. my jaw hit the floor when I saw it, the bike had been down on the track, the frame was destroyed and the bodywork wasnt really there anymore but the engine itself was almost perfect. The guy at the dealer said he would part it off so I picked up the cylinders,heads,pistons,crankshaft,exhaust and the ecm for the low low price of 799.00. This post really doesn't serve a purpose just felt like sharing  | ||

The guy at the dealer thought it was a ducati.....hahahaha. He was a young guy about my age and didnt wven know what a buell was until i told him, i bet he got his ass chewed afterwords for selling the stuff so cheap. | ||

I went back today and the bike has been completely parted out, there was nothing left. The service guy told me that today 5 guys came in and asked for parts from the bike, and he said that he had never seen them and they immediately asked for the wrecked 1125r. I am guessing that some people from bad web looked were I'm located and stopped by and picked the apart. | ||

Yeh you have to be careful about posting info on forums. I was asking for info on an Aprilia forum about buying a 2002 Caponord with 1600 miles for $2000. One guy asked what state I lived in so I told him. Next thing I know he's over at the guys house trying to buy that bike but the owner was a stand up guy and told him I had first shot at it.
