can this be done frame on? or must the engine be removed? what did you use to cut the material? |

It can be done with the frame on but is easier with the frame off. If you are doing this at the same time as your valves it's worth it to take the frame off, it only take an extra 30-45 minutes vs just rotating the engine, and makes both jobs much easier. |

Oh and you can cut with a knife/razor or scissors. |

I used a yardstick and carpenters pencil to push it on. If you get a spot that is bubbled or doesn't contour just cut with a razor knife. Clean well with alcohol first. |

That looks a lot like what I did I had to change the front spark plug and had to take that part off above the plug to tight. |

I did my heatshielding with the fame on, but with the engine rotated. I just measured and cut out the shape of the frame on the outside, and cut to the correct length. cleaned with alcohol and just stuck it on slowly |

I did mine with the engine rotated. cleaned with rags and brake cleaner I measured and cut the shielding in small easy to work pieces and had plenty. Did any of you cover the underside of the frame near the rear header? |
