I have a 2009 Buell 1125r. When i turn on my turn signals left or right they show blinking on the instrument cluster but are not working on the front or rear turn signals. anyone have an idea whats going on. I also have an issue when i'm at an idol the battery light comes on when i take off at a light it goes off and when i use the high beams the battery doesn't charge. please help. |

Bad battery or you are not charging properly. If you have had the harley relay fix start there. |

brand new battery, harley ran the vin and it was not effected by the real for the wiring harness it has had 3 stators replaced, what is the relay your talking about Shawn. when we got the bike the prior owner took the mirrors off and did some mods for racing on the track. he put the mirrors back on and didnt plug the wires in. when i plugged the right front turn signal/mirror into the wires i hers a pop sound and no signals at all. do have brake lights and headlights |

"when i plugged the right front turn signal/mirror into the wires i hers a pop sound and no signals at all" Sounds like a short circuit blew a fuse. You need to find out if it blew a fuse and why, which may mean tracing a bunch of wires and testing things with a multimeter. |

Harley put a relay harness to cut one leg of the stator. This was to keep the temp down...didn't work. I find it hard to believe that they didn't put the harness in with 3 stator replacements. I would check your stator out put and regulator. If it doesn't have the Ebr rotor, no time like the present. As far as the signal. Something is grounding out. Or there is something wrong with the turn signal |

there is no fuse for the turn signals. Ive went through all the fuses and none blown. the repair manual don't show anything about fuse for the turn signals. i know the battery charges when the low beams are on just not charges when high beams are on. does anyone think it may be the voltage regulator |

Do you get a voltage error on the cluster at any time? When my rotor came loose it took out the stator and the regulator. Your signals go through the IC there is no relay for them. I am not sure about a fuse. I would have to check the manual. Do you have a manual? |

no voltage error on the cluster. i have the repair manual and i cant seem to find anything to figure this out. I'm assuming its either the cluster thats why the turn signals don't work and the charging issue I'm thinking the stator or regulator. when i got the bike the guy said that he was reading about the 2009 buell had an issue that if your not tacking over 5 don't use 6th gear because it blows the stator. Well i had let someone ride the buell and he didn't know and was using 6th gear and we went to a bike show and the battery was dead. plus he had the high beams on. so I did replace the battery but assuming i need a stator and or the voltage regulator. i do have a upgraded regulator but haven't used it yet. I do have an 08 1125r and have no issues and a Hayabusa |

You probably need a rotor, stator, and rr. Its the common issue with all 09 1125's. |

If you have the CE605SB regulator you should get the EBR rotor $175 after core return and have the stator rewound or replaced with one from ricks motorsports |

Poney boi the turn signals are operated by the instrument cluster (ic), directly the cluster may be damaged if the out put was shorted, disconect all turn signals take one of the rear ones off, connect it strait to the battery if it lights its ok use it to test the system. hook it up on the rear first check the rear and the front separately if any signal lines fail the IC is damaged the pop you heard may have been your IC... |

Rear turn signal assembly replacements. Does anyone know a good source for these? The rubber flexible arm broke on the right one and is dangling from the wire. |

I listed a set in the knowledge vault topic "replacement parts" that I would classify as "barely adequate", but the price is right (like $5 per signal). I wish they would charge $10 per signal and use 2x brighter LED's, which would be a trivial change for them. You would need to cannibalize the old wiring from the signals you are pulling for the connectors (and to simplify install). |
