My first track day on my 1190cc 1125R. I usually drag race and ride street only so the track is kinda new to me. Bike was awesome, at this point I never even setup the suspension it was a little all over the place, and my helmet was kinda big so was hard to see through some corners. Anyways I got a huge checklist of things I need to work on, changes to the bike, my self, and riding style. One day at a time. Im really hoping to start racing AFM with this bike this year, hard to save up the funds though. Was so cool to not have to worry about coolant or oil or a truck in the road, or police and laws. Just put your head down and go for it. Definitely going to keep taking it to the track to go fast. Was the photos before or after the track day? Reason I ask is the front rotor looks like it got toasted! Going to look at the video.... Thanks for sharing. |

That was some excellent riding on Showa suspension! Looks like a better preload may help, front and rear. Not sure what happened at 8:08, but you definitely blew that riders doors off at 9:00. |

First track day and they let you pass on the turns? No wonder there was a wreck. |

> First track day and they let you pass on the turns? > No wonder there was a wreck. We allow it in the afternoon on turn exits, not entries. So basically, outside passing only. I don't think it's dangerous as long as there's instruction to go with it. |

I joined the advanced group I'm not driving 4 hours to a track and not be able to pass people. That's crazy. |

Wow, that was a lucky outcome on that crash. Could have been much worse. There is no reason for riders to be that close at a track day. Looks like the guy on the DUC tagged the rear wheel of the guy in front. Good that you were hanging back a bit. When I see guys I don't know riding like this at a track day, I give them a wide birth, because it almost always ends in a crash. |
