Well, Mr, Buell my 09 white w/blue 1125r has found a new home with a young serviceman. I hated to part with it. Frankly, from the moment the 1125r was introduced, it was my aspirational bike. I fully expected it would be the one bike I kept until they either carted me off to the nursing home or the hole in the ground. Well, a racing incident a year ago June brought that uncomfortably close and resulted in a need to find something with different ergos and most critically lend itself to a different style of riding. Less face it, the Buell is meant to be ridden in a rather sporting fashion. Hell, it’s damn near impossible not to on it. I’ve had the good fortune of riding examples of damn near every sport bike out there, and I can honestly say the Buell was the absolute most fun. Maybe not the fastest, maybe not the best handling in the right hands, but no bike produces the smiles for me as the Buell. I’ve replaced Mr. Buell with an r1200GS-LC. It’s a very nice bike and so far has changed my approach to riding. I like it a lot. But I will miss Mr. Buell. I’ll hang around this forum and root for EBR and Eric Buell at every opportunity. |

John - good to see it go to another good home and congrats on the r1200GS - great bike! Wonder as EBR releases more bikes and new models if we will ever see EBR models listed at the front page of this forum? It would be great to keep the community together for these bikes and I could see replacing my 25R at some point (or adding to it) w/ the RX or maybe AX? best of luck and ride safe! Rob |
