I was bored at work and stumbled on some old threads from 2008 and 9 asking what kind of mileage you can expect from these engines. So, how many miles do we have after a few years? How far have you ridden on your longest ride? Feel free to add pictures as well. The longest I've done was about 1,250 or so with Rogue Biker and a few other riders. I'll post a few pictures of that ride later. Show off!! And.... GO!!! (My 2009 CR has 26,776 miles at the moment.) |

Longest about 1200 miles in 3 days on a spring outing the first adk. The longest single day out 5/6 hundred going out to wellsboro PA and back in a 24hr period, but a random route out there kinda direct back. I have about 18K on it now. I can not use my bike for anything but playtime as commuting is not an option for me which kinda sucks and is great at the same time cause of where I am located if that makes sense. |

Just turned 10K. Longest ride was out to Philly and back when I first got the bike in May 2010. At the time, no experience with this much power/braking! Noted that I'm getting what I would amateurishly say is some clutch free play. Pulled in, clutch less noisy. In Neutral, can feel the vibes through seat of my pants, and see it in the mirrors. When I rev it to 1,800 rpm, cannot feel or see vibration. Stock ECM Anybody know what the EBR ECM idles at? |

How is your oil consumption? I have 20K on my CR. Last Sunday I did 250+ miles on a hot day in the sun. When I got back I stood the bike up and checked the oil a few minutes later. With less than 2K miles on the Amsoil 20w50 the dipstick was dry! 3/4 of a quart later my dipstick showed full. I probably should have drained and measured when I saw that dipstick. After a long hot day on the bike my first response was baby needs a drink! |

2008 model with 39,560 miles. No noticeable oil consumption between changes. Running full Synthetic Mobil 1 20w50. Longest ride was just short of 5000 miles. Rode from Hillsboro, OR to East Troy, WI and back in 2010. Lately she has been spending a lot of time in the garage because I am riding more track and off road then street. |

13.75k on my 08. Haven't had it very long, bought less than a year ago. Haven't had many far rides yet. Hope to take it out for a good cruise next season. Runs like a champ though. |

That last pic looks like it's around Missoula...yes? Oil consumption on my 1125r isn't noticeable. I just added six ounces of Amsoil 20w50 after a recent oil change. When cold started, I noted that the valve train was noisier than it sounded after other oil changes. So total fill was 3qts plus the 6 ounces I just added! |

31,000. I thought about selling and had a guy interested. His only comment was that "is a lot of miles for a Buell". She pulls hard and rides awesome. Let's hope for many more miles |

Two Seasons, it was in central California, wine country. Oil consumption is pretty low on my CR. Maybe add 1/4 quart every couple thousand miles. When I do my oil change, I add 3 quarts. Ride it home and check it cold the next morning. It sits at the add line, but I know it has the correct amount of oil. As long as i check the oil cold, and it's on the dipstick, she's good. Check it about once a week or so. Side note, my wife agreed to let me install the big bore kit at the 3rd valve service. So, I have every reason to ride as much as possible now!!! |

Congrats Dhays. Now if only I could convince a certain someone to let me install one. Her quote exactly "if it blows up, you can fix it, or sell it." My "fix" will be a big bore kit. Hopefully that's a long way off though. Still under 14k on my bike. |

Mine has just over 36k miles on it. Longest ride: I'm a little embarrassed--450 miles. I haven't yet made a point to take mine on a longer than one day ride. Here's a picture of that 450 mile ride. LOL! But hey! I did this ride many times just not on consecutive days. https://flic.kr/p/h1jdig Here she is prior to the 36k mile service. https://flic.kr/p/iPeEUV |

Just put mine away tonight with 50977 on the odo. She still runs strong and doesn't use any oil. I don't believe the top end has ever been off. This is how it looked when I got it at 32K
With all the bad parts stripped off
and this is how it looked after I finished the 50K service on it.

I recently totally (cracked frame, swing arm, forks, fairing stay, clip ons, both wheels) my 1125R with 25,000 miles on it... engine running strong. Bike runs great but everything else is gone Now Im hoping to buy an 1125CR with 48,000 miles (still running strong too) and will likely put my 1125R engine in the CR when it gets really tired |

I bought my 2008 1125R (named her Victoria aka "Vicky") new on Jan 15th 2008 and as of Sep 13 2012 had put over 63,000 miles on her. Really most of that was done by Jun 21 2011 when she had 62,711 miles. She's been down since then due to, I believe, a botched sprag clutch & flywheel repair. Here's Vicki's complete history. I lived in Tacoma & Federal Way in Washington state (about 30 minutes South of Seattle) at the time. Much of the miles was commuting to Seattle for work. I won the PNWRiders.com mileage survey/contest two years in a row. The two longest trips I went on were:
- Nov 2008: From Tacoma to/through Death Valley and back in which was approximately 2,809 miles.
- Aug 2010: 3876.1 miles in 10 days. From Tacoma to SoCal and back in Aug 2010 to visit my dad and ride around the awesome roads down here (where I now live).
Here's a Google+ Story of my 2010 Trip to California. The 2nd to last picture in there is a shot of the trip meter reading which I had zeroed out before leaving home. Last pic is of the rear tire showing about a dozen cords. |

40,400 miles on my '09 R, it had 28 miles on it when I bought it in May of '09. No real long rides, 300-400 mile days now and then. Have a HD bagger for the long road. Currently it's short rides only. Can't go too far on battery only. Looks like I'll be getting a new stator next month, have a series VR on hand. |

Nothing spectacular . . but yesterday . . after working on the U;y for a bit . . .I left on a "test ride" about 3:00pm. I got home at 2:45am this morning sporting a hell of a grin after traveling through 4 states. |
