Planning on going for a little flog to Marlinton, WV this weekend. I did a similar ride last year and found some pretty tasty roads. Anyone have recommendations for rides in this area? Roughly bound by I-64 on the South, I-79 on the West, I-68 on the North and I-81 on the East. |

+1 on this! Just did US50 to Winchester on the first leg of our annual ride a month ago. Started near Chicago picked up Skyline Drive in Front Royal, did the BRP ending in Asheville, NC. Wheels Through Time Museum, the Dragon, etc. 2,200 miles, touched ten different states over eight days. |

Thanks for the tips guys. I had a great ride. Highlights included: 3 between Slanesville & Springfield 28 between Cabins & Judy Gap 33 between Judy Gap & Franklin 250/28/92 between Monterey & Green Bank 66 between Green Bank & Linwood (watch for gravel on the western side of Snowshoe) 39/55 to Richwood (fuel light was on though, so I was hypermiling and got over 30 miles on reserve!) 20 between Bolair & Buckhannon (excellent) |
