This is probably a stupid question, but can you still get the stock powder for the frames? |

Talk to Al at American Sport Bike. He sells the factory match paint. He told me last time I was there that he had a customer who had his paint matched to some powdercoat locally. The strange thing was that there was NO metallic in the powdercoat once they found a match. Sorry to ramble. Call American Sport Bike and Al can help you out. He's good people. |

What color powder are you looking for and how much do you need? |

I want to do my clutch and brake handles the factory '08 dark blue metallic to match my frame and swing arm. So not a lot. Thanks for the tip about Al. I didn't think about calling him for something like that. (Message edited by brokenGQ on July 02, 2014) |

I think the frames are some kind of wrinkle coat aren't they? Seems that way to me. |

Its a Protech powder. I don't know if they can sell to anyone other than HD. Otherwise if you find a shop that sprays Protech powders they may be able to get some. |

Yes you can, I did and I posted quite a few years ago. I have all the Buell color chips and color codes from the powder coat manufacture, I can't remember the company name at the moment. I had to do a LOT of research at the time to find all the info but I've got it somewhere around here. |

Would you still happen to have those chips and codes? I can dig if you don't. I want to buy a couple pounds of the powder and keep them around. |

The blue you are referring to is: PK612B5 Barracuda Blue PK612N1 (09-10 frame / wheels black) The manufacture is Protech Chemicals Ltd If I'm not mistaken there's a minimum purchase of 50 lbs which would go a LONG way. I would recommend a group buy and have the manufacturer package in 2 lb packages and distribute to those wishing to purchase. |
