Where do I get the screws for the airbox cover and whatnot? Just the stock ones, nothing fancy. |

American Sport Bike is a great company and happy to support them usually... But at 3.81 ea it gets $ quick. Especially as many as i've managed to lose... I found Aluminum versions (a bit of weight savings). Have them at home and will confirm size/specs and provide here. HTH - Rob |

I don't know. I believe the correct call out is a Button Socket Cap shoulder Screw I can't find one that matches, it's an either or Button Head Socket Cap Screw: Socket Shoulder Screw: (Message edited by sprintst on July 01, 2014) (Message edited by sprintst on July 01, 2014) |

I went with the button head m6 x 1.0 x 16mm http://www.probolt-usa.com/aluminium/aluminium-bol ts-dome-head/alloy-dome-head-bolt-m6-x-1-00mm-x-16 mm-pk-x-10-black.html 14.18 for a 10 pack = 1.42 ea (<1/2 cost of oem) uses 4mm alen key head. 2.5g vs OEM 7g (both w/ washers): too many pics?... measured length and head width. Length for both is ~20mm. head width - AL one is about 2mm larger (14 vs 15.9) because of the slight shoulder the OEM threaded length is 12.36mm vs 14.9 perhaps a bit overkill... but only took a sec w/ my phone to snap these. 2.5g x (how many bodywork bolts?) vs 7g x same #. 4.5g savings ea (453.5g = 1 lb) - so 100 of these to save a lb. Not really practical (not that many i'm sure), but hey it's less expensive AND lighter! Hope it helps next guy looking for bodywork fasteners. And they come in colors! |

Sl33py - I think that's an adequate solution. Everyone just needs to remember that the stock bolts are shoulder bolts, so they provide a torque stop to keep you from overtightening them and cracking the plastics. Those replacements bolts don't have that, so just be aware and don't over tighten |

McMaster-Carr has nylon shouldered spacers in various lengths a 6mm bolt is very close to a 1/4" bolt in Dia. (just in case you want that extra protection) http://www.mcmaster.com/#shoulder-spacers/=socnhi |
