I got my 1125CR out of winter storage the other day. Rode it around for a bit, running great, but reminded me of a quirk it has... Bike is stock except for a Barker exhaust and appropriately configured EBR ECM. After running around for awhile, the fans run for a bit after shutting it off, then stop. Then for 5-10 minutes afterward - every 15 seconds or so - you'll hear a little chirp, followed by the fans starting to come on, then stopping. The whole chirp/fan start thing lasts a second or so. Again, it stops after a few minutes. Never did this before the ECM change. It hasn't been problematic, other than being weird. Any thoughts? Steve |

If I'm correct I believe the fuel pump kicks on a few times after the bike is off |

Mine makes weird sounds on shutdown when it's really hot out. |

I live in Australia and ride it everyday, mine tends to stay on for a while after I park it, especially if traffic is slow going near home, it tends to kick in and out a bit once I park it int eh driveway my XB's seemed seemed to behave similar. No winter storage for me lol |

Yep - J20td is correct and this is perfectly normal. The chirp and whirl is the fuel pump cycling on and off. It's supposed to prevent vapor lock on hot restart. My stock ECM does it as well so it's not just a race ECM thing. |

No kidding? Wow... Just seems odd I never noticed that happening with the stock ECM. Thanks for the feedback! |

Yep, same here. Sounds super techno-awesome when you're parked with a bunch of guys and your bike starts whirring and pumping things at random. |
