2-pounds vs 10 pounds and it fires up the Beast with ease! My last AGM lasted one year.

Still rocking the original battery that came on the 08'. Keep it on a battery tender, no issues at all. |

Guy I bought mine from went with a lithium. An anti gravity i think? It was expensive. He said the oem battery just wasn't staying charged. anyways, it's worked out good for me. No issues. To about 38 degrees on some mornings and cranked fine. |

Kept mine on a tender all winter too. Started good a few times then got to where it would barely turn over. Hope the Li hold up. |

I used a battery tender on my '09 every time I got home with the bike. When the stator went it took the battery with it despite the tender. |

Shorai is working great for me. The old original batt is still holding charge on the bench not doing nothing much until maybe I can find a use for it like maybe a source for a back yard high voltage feral cat deterrent device utilizing spare Harley ignition coils, heh heh. |

Just replaced my original in my 08 with a Shorai.. Impressed with the size and weight difference. Old one wouldn't hold a charge more than 2 days. |

Just picked up a moty battery... First start was a little rough but it was the first of the year, new battery, new oil... Hopefully next time is smoother. The quick connects make the install super clean! |

Well mine kept breaking loose on the connection, the terminal from the battery NOT the cable but luckily the little POS has 2 sets of terminals yeah!!!. In all honesty my next battery will be a lead acid they hold voltage way better for starter first peek in the colder climate of NJ. |

For all you folks thinking of Lithium batteries, be aware they hate cold. I also own a Segway and these have two separate 72 volt Lithium batteries. They cost $1000 each, so I'm very careful with them. There are ample warnings everywhere throughout the documentation of the severe drop of performance in regard to temps below 40 degree F. This loss of performance is for both charge and discharge. My experience reinforces those warnings. Lithium batteries may be suitable for summer use perhaps on a race bike, but totally inappropriate for a street bike that will see use and storage temperatures below 40F. Lithium batteries do have a greater charge density and are both smaller and lighter, but they require a microprocessor to manage both charge and discharge over varying temperatures. Please also note that different Lithium cells require different firmware for correct management. These lithium cells are not the same the world around. These batteries are not a direct replacement to lead acid no matter what there manufacturers tell you. They require a unique to the cell smart charger and should never be exposed to cold temps, even in storage. Personally, I will not consider Lithium batteries for a street vehicle because of their initial cost and the restrictions they impose in the care and feeding department. Buyers beware. |

2nd year on the Shorai and very impressed. I would not go back to a lead acid. |

36* this morning when I rolled out for work. It took a second for the battery to "wake up" but she still started fine. |
