I have been considering replacing the mirrors with a backup camera. I've searched many threads here but I didn't see any with long-term updates. Mainly concerning dealing with rain. Any other regrets or things to consider? |

I bought a kit a few years ago and still have not got around to installing it, I've been thinking of putting it on my truck instead to make parallel parking and rigging up a trailer easier. That HUD system doesn't provide any rear imagery, I'm not sure why it was linked here, also it is nowhere near being the first HUD, I had one something like 7 years ago, it sucked as the technology just wasn't ready yet. This one does look cool though. |

I may give it a try. They have come down in price where I think it's worth the risk of it not lasting. Just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions before I pull the trigger on it. |

Care to share what camera you're considering? I've been wanting to do something like this as well, just haven't done my research on what cam and display to go with quite yet. Anything you learn would be much appreciated! |

I put a backup cam on my buddies firebolt over a year ago and it works great. I made a bracket and mounted a screen. |
