My shock is not going to work for me it's to long for my 1125 anyone selling a penske? | ||

Dean, IMHO by the time you buy a shock, have it valved and sprung for your weight (and skill level), and have it serviced, you are going to be in the relative neighborhood of a new one. Could I talk you into buying a new one? I think it would be better, especially if you are in this sport for the relative long haul. | ||

Cant afford to put that much money into a new shock at this time. Ive run a penske on my XB and it was night and day, stock shock sucks bad. How serviceable is the showa race shock from EBR? I've only had mine serviced, not revalved, so I can't tell you regarding parts, but I know for service it's just seals and my suspension guy didn't say much of anything about it, so I assume it's pretty normal. The EBR shock is a decent part, IMHO. It's a big upgrade over stock, but not as good as a Penske. It comes with a 575 spring, and I run a 550 on my Penske, so it's slightly over sprung for me at 160lbs before gear, but seems to work pretty dang well. | ||

What about having racetech setup your shock with valving fresh oil and seals + proper spring. I had used their gold valves in the past and the difference was night and day at least on my old GSXRs. Anyone have experience with racetech valving in the stock shock? Not that this is everyone's experience but I put Hagons on mt 1964 CL160 and I would not rave about them as they were bone jarring harsh, but they generally have a good reputation and were better than the old dead units. compare racetechs brass design to gpsuspensions alloy CNC design that is anodized for hardness. Big difference all the way around. | ||
